The flexible modular system for customised gluing presses

Our sophisticated modular system allows you to flexibly adapt your gluing press to growing requirements. With a wide range of accessories, you can convert your machine into a carcase press, for example, or glue mitres precisely and quickly. Even the demanding gluing of segmented arches is effortless – thanks to the RPL perforated plate press with its 70 mm grid of laser-cut precision holes.

With the exception of the RPG-NH model with mobile hold-down device, all gluing presses can be optionally equipped with stable, easily steerable and lockable castors. This allows you to position the machine conveniently at the ideal workstation. The tool-free set-up of many accessories also helps to increase efficiency – especially for customised products.

What is a gluing press?

A gluing press is used to join wooden lamellas and similar materials using glue and even pressure to create high-quality workpieces such as stair treads, table tops, doors or frames. The term ‘frame press’ describes a special subgroup of gluing presses. BARTH models are designed to process a wide range of different workpieces while saving space and improving working conditions.

Instead of laboriously gluing large workpieces with screw clamps and trestles, the vertical design of the BARTH gluing press enables ergonomic working at an optimum working height. Hole grids with spacings of 50 or 70 mm offer maximum flexibility when clamping the workpieces. The necessary pressure is generated by rack and pinion gears or pressure cylinders, which ensure uniform gluing over the entire joint. This ensures better results compared to the punctual pressure of screw clamps, increases the precision and quality of the workpieces and at the same time protects the health of the employees.

Customised gluing presses with outstanding quality

Our gluing and framing presses are available in various models that can be flexibly customised to the requirements of your application. Our expert team will be happy to advise you on choosing the right model without obligation. Each press is manufactured in Germany and impresses with its high-quality materials and precise workmanship. For example, the holes for punch presses are cut using modern laser systems, while the sturdy, powder-coated base frames of some models can be dismantled.

Depending on requirements, we supply gluing presses in lengths of up to 10 metres, including for double-sided use. Certain models can be combined as perforated wall or frame presses. With different pressure systems, you can achieve a pressing force of up to 2,000 kg, depending on the selected gearbox type. The rack and pinion gearbox generates a pressing force of 1,000 kg with a stroke of 140 mm. The 2-stage pump system generates a pressing force of 2,000 kg with a stroke of 100 mm.
